I mentioned previously that my Forever rose seems to take me on different journey's or life paths and also that I am on Workcover losing 20% of my pay each fortnight and this could be so for at least 6 more months due to only just having my shoulder operated on,Finally!
So maybe as I firmly believe, that there has to be a reason for this and one reason possibly is to think about giving up smoking of course there are the very obvious health reasons.So with the loss of wages and cigarettes here in Australia have just risen $2 per pkt again I think is the boot up the backside that I neded to give this a fair bit of thought and ACTION.
A visit to my Dr and I had my script for Champix..
Well here I am very nervous about my decision to quit smoking. I took my 1st Champix tablet 6 hours ago no side effects yet but then neither do I NOT feel like a smoke infact quite the opposite. I assume this could be a normal reaction to a scary decision for me and so on I GO .I HAVE ALREADY WITHOUT HELP CUT BACK MY SMOKES FROM 40-50 DAILY TO 25, I did this prior to going into hospital for the shoulder operation 4 weeks ago so am quite pleased with myself for that. I have already attempted to disassociate the habits I have with say cigarettes and coffee, by having them seperately, not lighting up when I answer the phone or make a call.Smoking outside no matter what the weather, mmm cept at night.
I also joined "My time to Quit" a Internet support group when you buy the Champix.Here I hopefully will log my daily diary to let people know how I go. Fingers crossed.
